Our country is perfect for adventure and romance. But why spend your time here like all other visitors do, being shepherded
from one tourist trap to another? Live among the locals, and sample the REAL taste of the Caribbean.
Most Grenadians live in small, tight-knit village communities on the outskirts of the major towns. Since the island is
only 9 miles wide, you're never far from one of it's 45 beaches. It is in these villages that you will experience the true
character of the Grenadian people: their friendliness, warmth and willingness to help.
My village, Morne Jaloux, is only three miles from the capital city of St. George's, and two miles away from the nearest
beach. The name, Morne Jaloux, is French for "Jealous Mountain," and from here you get a panoramic view of St. George's, the
sea, and other nearby mountains.
This is the perfect spot for our Mountain Retreat, a private two-bedroom vacation rental situated on the ground floor
of the house pictured at right. This is a third-generation family home, and you will be welcomed like family. Click here for details on how to book your stay at the Mountain Retreat.
